Picture for Them (2017-2018)

"Picture for Them" makes reference to the photograph by Jeff Wall, "Picture for Woman",  which whole being critical of the position of the male gaze as a consumer of art and then externally in society, it functions on a very binary plane in regards to gender. By introducing an androgynous drag character into these positions that were defined as male and female, it challenges the preset language of the gender bianry as a tool through whihc a viewer begins to engage with an image and subvert its use.
